Psychedelic Matchmaking Concierge: Psychedelic Passage

Seeking out assistance as one who is yearning to have a healing, transformative psychedelic experience can be extremely daunting. With psychedelic therapy itself still being seen as controversial and unconventional, it can be difficult to know where to even start when trying to find services pertaining to this type of therapy.

Jimmy Nguyen and Nicholas Levich founded Psychedelic Passage for those who may be confused as to how to have the most enriching experience possible through the use of psychedelics.

Psychedelic Passage is a company, based in Colorado, that performs services, like those similar to a concierge service, that matches people seeking out a psychedelic experience with a facilitator, or guide, that is suitable to the individual’s situation and preferences. Psychedelic Passage works with facilitators, which they qualify and pre-vet, who guide people through therapy sessions in which they consume psychedelics to bring their emotions, thoughts, and feelings to the forefront.

“Right now we have…I believe about 28 facilitators all across the country, of varying backgrounds…we will refer clients out to work directly with these facilitators who have all gone through a…screening and vetting process and agree to a shared code of conduct and ethical standard of practice,” stated Nguyen.

Psychedelic Passage emphasizes and offers a 4-step solution to those who are struggling in getting assistance in psychedelic therapy. The first step in this process is scheduling a consultation call to discuss an individual’s situation and preferences, as well as what they are looking to gain out of their experience.

The next step is obtaining a relationship with a concierge who helps to guide individual’s through the entire process, with unwavering support from the beginning to end. Next, the individual is referred to Psychedelic Passage’s network of credited and trustworthy facilitators.

“We support folks to move from a place of…ready to explore psychedelics to then working with a facilitator in their area who might be of service to them,” explained Nguyen.

These facilitators work as guides who actually stay with the individual through the entire process of them consuming and feeling the effects of psychedelics, which takes place through two separate programs.

The first program offered is their Microdosing Program which is mostly prescribed for those who are unsure if they want to have hallucinating effects, but are still looking for a deeper experience to look inward. The second program offered is the Ceremonial Program which is recommended for those who are looking for a complete life altering experience.

The varying services, programs, and resources available at Psychedelic Passage ensure that everyone, no matter how confused they may be, have an option or resource that is suitable to their needs.

“What we realized really quickly is that there were a lot of people who were interested in psychedelics, had access to psychedelics, and they were likely going to try psychedelics, but had absolutely no information or guidance… no actionable pathways,” Nguyen stated.

Psychedelic Passage is a fairly unique business that offers services that prioritize the people that they are serving at the time, rather than the volume of people that they are helping.

“We are humans who care about the experience of the person going through the psychedelic process…We're just in the game of humans helping humans,” said Nguyen.

What Exactly a Facilitator’s Position Entails

A facilitator’s main role, in the psychedelic field, is to accompany and guide an individual while they voluntarily undergo a psychedelic experience. The facilitator would act as the “therapist”, if you will, giving the individual the tools to have a safe experience that may also be healing, beneficial, and therapeutic.

While many new training programs for those facilitating a psychedelic experience are on the rise, there are no exact, clear guidelines on the training that these facilitators must go through.

Psychedelic Passage qualifies their facilitators through their own process in which they pre-vet facilitators, both nationally and internationally. If they believe a facilitator is not enough during the matchmaking process, then they recommend seeing a mental health provider.

Some facilitators may have a background in mental health providing or servicing, but many do not. The matchmaking process at Psychedelic Passage matches individual’s with facilitators who are vetted in backgrounds that best meet their needs.
